    It's almost pitiful.

Ah ha... here is the problem, 8 hours.

I don't think there is a vehicle that is comfortable for 8 hours. Have had up to 6'-6" in the neighborhood of 350 lbs in the back seat with no problems.

Even if you could raise the seat, as steiny mentioned there is lots of wiring etc. under the seats that could be bothered. I'd also be hesitant to raise the seats from a safety perspective. Based on my floor mat patterns, its typically just your toes that go under the seat. If that's not enough you should take a look at the other brands. I'd be curious to hear back on what you find. I'm thinking the GM's and Ford's will be similar.

Are you sure it's a Crew Cab and not a Quad Cab? The CC's have a ton of room in the back. I'm 6' 1" and have no problems riding in the back.

My brother at 6-3 size 13 shoes, had no complaints in the back seat of my CC for 2 1/2 hours. I am also wondering if the OP is looking at a QC. The QC back seats remind me of my Jeep Liberty. As for possibly raising them, that could help, but then you have to worry about wires, etc, like others have stated.

No ----Cramped is an 11 hour flight to Yugoslavia with a planeload of muslims, few of which had a bath in the past year. Many had serious intentional disruption and the bathroom was worse than any back garage thing.
