I'm amazed that anyone would consider coolant consumption (especially that amount) normal on a new engine.

Good info nonetheless, one more thing to keep an eye on.

Good info, also if you haven't noticed how horrible this truck was tuned from the factory don't ever ride in a properly tuned one because you'll hate the stock truck from then on and either tune or sell it. Took mine in for more warranty emissions nonsense last week and told the diesel tech personally whatever you do do not flash my pcm. He didn't ask any further and all was well with warranty work.

Thank you for the post. I knew that I have a leak, dealer told it was normal for it to consume coolant. I saw the same area wet. Don't know how to proceed because they are not very well versed on these engines.

Guess I better go pop the hood and look. It's amazing; whoever doubts the aftermarket guys and says if it could perform/work better it'd be that way from the factory. Keep drinking the FCA koolaid. That is all....now to search for coolant leaks lol

I have only 2 k miles on my GDE tune and have been watching my coolant levels. No changes still same as was driving it off the dealers lot. I am not a mechanic but it looks like it maybe a leak.

Just checked...No leak and also show 3 distinct inspection dots. 2 are on the sleeve referenced in the pics and one directly below on the unit below sleeve. One is green as shown the other two light blue. Thanks for sharing. One other note: the design is different than in the video and pics.. will share a pic this weekend. Maybe some one knows what changed and when or why?

My coolant is low but has not changed from delivery. I don't have brass sleeves on the EGR nor does it leak there. Are you slowly loosing coolant? Possible EGR cooler leak.-img_20151010_083833985.jpgAre you slowly loosing coolant? Possible EGR cooler leak.-img_20151010_083757284_hdr.jpg

I saw this a few weeks back and inspected to find i was low on coolant and damp around the EGR. Told the service Dept about it when it was in for service, all they did was top it off and told me monitor it. Great customer service i tell you.......
