I just had the AEM (Approved Emission Modification) flashed on my 2015 Ecodiesel along with the AutoPark recall. I have submitted my claim online so I am waiting for them to review and accept my claim. The only difference I noticed after the flash was the oil life monitor was at 0% with the message that I needed an oil change. I have no tunes or modifications at all and the mileage is 78,650. I track everything very closely using the Fuelly app so I will definitely watch DEF and fuel consumption.
I just had the AEM (Approved Emission Modification) flashed on my 2015 Ecodiesel along with the AutoPark recall. I too had the oil life at 0% and dealer wanted to change my oil which it only had been less than 1k miles since I did so. I submitted claim online and was sent the release paperwork including page for signature to be notarized. When you do this make sure the notary stamp is visible if you scan to send back with the email that was sent. You also have to send back all eight pages!
Just trying to help so you want have the problems I had
just wondering is there any downside in not getting the AEM? other than losing out on the $2.5K

I have two claims- a 2015 which I sold and a 2016 I currently own. The claim for the 2015 is approved, and the email said I will receive a check within 6 weeks. The claim for the 2016 is also approved, and is scheduled for the AEM on 6/24. Check to follow completion. The process was simple.
I found my digital camera and took pics of the documents. The drivers license was tricky to get a pic of. I finally figured you you had to tilt it to avoid it being whited out from the flash. I got a tracking number which is progress. When I called them about my mailed forms, they knew nothing.
So if one has purchased an extended warranty for their truck -- and now FCA is giving us some extended engine related warranty coverage, did I spend money on something that is now going to be offered as part of the settlement without any compensation ? Spoke with attorneys handling the settlement and posed that question and the lady I spoke with seemed little moved by that predicament.
