Post Install Question - Intake Box

Just installed my GDE tune a few days ago. Very happy so far. I just have a quick question in regards to re-installing the air intake box. Does the portion of the intake, closest to the front, that mates up near the fender/wheel well just rest against the foam on the outlet hole? I couldn’t remember how it was when I removed it, but I just want to make sure it isn’t supposed to pop or snap in any certain way.

I apologize for the elementary question, just want to make sure everything is perfect. Install was quick and easy, even in the dark.

To clarify, I believe it is the air box snorkel that passes under the AC lines that I am referring to. Hope that makes sense.

Yes it just presses against the foam.

My airbox cover is the most frustrating thing I've ever tried to install. It's the only thing I hate about my truck. One of the clips is a real Bi$ch! Hope yours is easier.

Thank you for the reply. Everything went smoothly for me, no issues with clips or anything else.
