Proof it's never too late to get the GDE hot tune. 70K doesn't seem that high for getting the tune when you have 200K on it.

2014 model here as well and still on the original battery. Bought mine in late 2014, so I figure I can add at least 6 months to whenever you replace yours, ha ha. Well, maybe not because mine has to...

Ha ha. So glad you're still on this forum, Captain, because you didn't bite on that Cummins with the manual transmission a while back. :o

97hmcs liked post by Lifeson On thread : Something from FCA concerning the lag
The above describes my experience. I ran the stock ECM for several weeks after the AEM. My wife even took it on a long road trip with the kids. She's the world's most impatient person, so I would...

Captainmal liked post by Lifeson On thread : Very interesting AEM dealership experience
The dealer that did the AEM update on my truck called a week or 2 afterward and said they had forgotten to take a picture of the sticker under the hood. They didn't say anything about a re-scan or...

Yep, GDE makes a big difference. I saw 99 miles average when I had the stock ECM in there for several weeks after the AEM update. Put the GDE ECM back om last weekend, and it shows 779 miles. Again,...

I ran the AEM tune for over a month before switching back to the GDE tuned ECM. One could hardly tell any difference cold or warm. I knew I was going back to GDE so didn't look at mileage very...

97hmcs liked post by Lifeson On thread : Switching Back to GDE
Mainly because right after I got the update my wife and kids were headed out of town with the truck (my job kept me from going on this particular trip), and since everything was running fine I just...

97hmcs liked post by Lifeson On thread : Switching Back to GDE
My tune is less than a year old, so I decided not to go that route. Yesterday I checked the "soot %" with Torque, and it was at 64%. Today I took the truck for a spin and ran it through a regen. By...

Unfortunately that's the only number on my invoice that has anything to do with the AEM update, and there's definitely no number close to the one above. Hmm, maybe the flash version is on the...

Kazimodo liked post by Lifeson On thread : Switching Back to GDE
It seems if I wait until right after a regen, then swap, the worst case is the GDE tuned ECM does the burn-off very early because it's memory says it's close to a regen. That seems no worse than...
