Early testing of those airless tires were done on some hummve and four wheelers for military use where a flat is a big deal so off road tires are very likely coming but probably not soon. Biggest issue I see is cost as they are rather expensive.

My uncle just bought a new John Deere Z-Track (Zero turn) mower with airless rear tires. I took it for a test "mow", and it does have a bit less impact harshness than a typical air cushioned tire. He likes the idea of never having to worry about a flat. I'm curious as to how they will wear over time and what the replacement cost is. These tires are also wider and flatter than the pneumatic tires which is supposed to help with flotation and traction. I wish they could make a version with a false sidewall, because I think they look a bit ugly and will take getting used to. That's o.k. for a mower but not a car or truck in my opinion.
