What and why did you have anything notarized? I see nothing on the settlement site about that. Just a bill of sale, drivers license and VIN number.

Today wife and I both received a letter from FCA with the Vin numbers on them and asking us to schedule the repairs. Of course it says you still have to fill out the settlement claim.

After they accept your paperwork in the initial step, they send you an agreement packet you need to print, sign and notarize, scan and email back. Than once you finish the AEM update it should be complete and just wait for your check.

Yea, truck should be done tomorrow and I'll see if I can get the notary stuff done at the dealer. If not I need to annoy my neighbor.

Seems like a bunch of people are apprehensive to do the AEM. My truck is stock and has been trouble free aside from 1 temp sensor. Motor wise the truck is stock aside from a filter back straight pipe, I'm at 98k on it so the extended warranty coverage is needed. I really have nothing to lose.

Took care of everything related to the AEM and now waiting for a check in the mail.

    My experience:

    1. Filed claim online on 05/05/2019

    2. Received a reply from Chrysler on 5/09/2019 with additional documentation to sign including documents that required a notarized signature.

    3. Took truck to dealership on 05/09/2019. The dealership required my signature on the repair/recall invoice prior to starting work and provided me supplemental information about the emission recall. *estimated time for repair 1-3 days* They said they needed to drive it and complete a regen. I opted not to get a loaner as I did not need one (I am aware that we are entitled to a loaner if it takes more than 3 hours to perform the repair).

    4. On 5/12/2019 submitted additional required documentation and the notarized signature page documents by replying to the original Chrysler email stating I was eligible for a claim (they will accept scanned copies).

    5. On 5/13/2019 received a call from the dealership inquiring about my ScanGauge II that I had left in the center console (I had the wiring routed and did not want to remove it prior to the appointment). They wanted an explanation of what it does - explained it was used to monitor engine parameters/codes and they had no issues. They said they had to document it and send to Chrysler. They said they are looking for anything that looks like a performance tune/chip - sounds like this done based on a visual inspection and not diving into lines of code - for those that might have a GDE tune on this forum and are worried.

    6. Later in the afternoon on 5/13/2019 truck repair was complete. When I went to pick up the truck I had to sign two invoices for the repairs work done (emission recall/update, and they also did a recall/update for the knob shifter as well - that was a bonus!). I also had to sign a "before" an "after" code/parameter report for the truck. The best way to describe is like Microsoft Windows update patches that listed different components and their software version. They then provided me a letter in a plastic sleeve with additional extended warranty information and a completed service invoice for my records. I noticed they put a sticker under the hood near the hood latch hook related to the emission recall/update.

    7. Drove home - no noticeable difference in performance.

Yes, I hooked it back up after the service appointment. All my saved parameters (i.e. "favorite page" came right back up without any issue). I did not toggle through the various settings though.
