Often times the Ram will run through many unrelated error codes when it senses something wrong. I see them all every time I upload a trans tune.

This sounds just like mine when the main bearings went. Except mine restarted.

Having said that, it’s clear we shall not agree on this topic. Reminds me a bit of the lane ends, merge right argument where people get mad when others occupy the lane that ends up to the last minute. That’s what should happen, IMHO. How many miles is “socially acceptable” to abandon that lane and extend the line?

Aside from my own thread hijack above, I will certainly follow up with what is reported. The dealer did not call me today but hope to hear something on Monday. I will also update the title and/or thread to reflect that in case I got over zealous with my prediction. I do specifically recall thinking how much I like my truck earlier that morning and I hate being the worry-wort on the eco-d scare.

    Thanks,

While it is an aside and not meant to hijack the thread I do agree with you regarding merges, particularly when construction has alone shut down. Interestingly a year or two ago Minnesota started airing public service messages on TV about the Zipper merge trying to get people to use both lanes up until the merge point and then alternate. I don't drive there enough to know if it has been successful but it clearly is the most efficient and the most fair.

Typically it is a Prius driver on the phone in the middle lane of 95 down here...no need to explain. Personally think the 'dragon' was typing from Margarettaville...he found the salt and was just kickin' it around recovering from too much Florida Sunshine...it can zap the Canadian brain particularly hard in February. Turns those fellas into 'Florida Man' this time of the year...

Please update...curious if this is one of those plastic 'Ziggy Wheels' laughing at the transmission or you actually pooped a bearing out the tailpipe...

Oh hell ya. We went through Houston yesterday, thankfully a Sunday, but I stay in the middle lane, just like the big boys do.

As for an updated part on the new engine design, there have been few to no descriptions of just what the updates on the new engine will be. Hints are turbo, pistons and bearing changes. Probably more but noting official to analyze.

Good luck with your repair update.

Hi: DrivingZiggy... No!!! The "Prius" driver on the phone is to blame for some of them.

That really stinks! Is this the first failure with GDE?
