What sold me on the Ecodiesel, drove it on about a 25 mile loop and it got 31 mpg on the EVIC. No other truck came close, rode better, drove better or had better fit and finish. The F150 3L Powerstroke got 10 less mpg, didn't drive the Titan, as friends with the 5.6 Titans had had bad experiences. I've driven the 3.5L Ecoboost F150, nice power, but another gas hog, imho. GM 5.3's get about the same mpgs as a hemi, bit less power and a cruder truck. Tundra was a step back for me and a real gas hog, did handle nice, though. So the only 1/2 ton that I would get, I already have as a company truck= a QC Hemi 4x4 Ram with 3:21 gears, gets very good mpg's.

He's spent as much money on diesel as you have but covered half the miles.

The fact that he bought a Nissan says a lot for....not going there.

I've been asked and told numerous times... bro, that truck is no good, I heard they have engine blowing up....can't tow anything...etc. Until another guy bought one too and towed a trailer going up the mountains of Southern California to Arizona and not even a hiccup. That shut up some of them. Yes, I had some coolant leak and "exhaust filter full" problem. However, all were under warranty and the truck still exceeds my needs and expectations. I might buy another truck but this one will never go anywhere, it might go to my son when he is licensed but not sold.

It seems that RAM got rid of the Ecodiesel for us. I haven't seen the diesel as an option for 2019.

Did they scrap it, or am I not looking hard enough?

Saw you earlier reply the Charleston diesel is 2.59. While I live in Mt. Pleasant, I go to Myrtle Beach often, and just filled up at $2.51 up there. Cheaper than mid grade by 15 cents. LOVE IT!!!
