Good article. Loved the Italian Dude. Sounds pretty darn impressive if it isn't all marketing BS and at least they had a few years of the Ecodiesel experience to use in the redesign.

...wonder if they'll start using the new motor as replacements for the current ones that go belly up. Wishful thinking, but it'd be a nice solution to a not so nice problem. I also see that the ecm is very easy to get to on the new motors (is that it on the battery side of the engine compartment?).

10 best engines in 2014, 2015, 2016? Um.... there's a lot to like but there's a lot of 'marketing' in that article. I guess we'll really know around 2021 or 2022 after people start putting miles on the new design. Personally, I'm a skeptic until FCA and prove to me that the new engine really is more durable, etc.

I'll wait a few years and see how many blow up first.

My wife actually started planning when I was telling her that we could get the first trailer we fell in love with. I think it comes in around 9700 pounds loaded.

I dig the new more capable truck but for camping with my fam I would probably look toward a 2500 for a 9,700 pound kamper.

So with all the news here's what I'm interested in knowing....
    1. What do our boys over at GDE think of this beast with what they've posted. Curious if they'd be willing to tell us what they think they can get out of it after a remap and tune.
    2. What is the turbo going into this truck? Specs? Current power is limited because of the turbo... (Obviously the drive shaft is different if they're willing to bump this to 480 torque as ours breaks loose around 550?)
    3. MPGs - C'mon post em'
    4. Transmission is the same that's in the 2500? 8HP75-LCV?
    5. Are we going to see ride height lowered at highway speeds for air suspension and the active air dam?
