I have the opt7 fluxbeam bulbs. They work well but the problem is they shine a lot higher than the stock low beams. So I had to aim them down, and that causes the high beam pattern to be lower. So now my high beams don't throw near as far. But the led low beams are beautiful

Often wondered about that aiming issue. Seems to me I have played with LED's and their orientation in flashlights. Darn things seem to have a bit of a directional factor to their light. No clue why as they are just a square thing unless there's an angle component to the construction.
There are two things different about most LED bulbs:
1) They are usually longer than halogen bulbs. Most come with instructions on how to cut the dust caps & install rubber grommets that allow the wires to pass thru.
2) The LEDs are mounted sideways on the stalks & shine out sideways, using the reflections off the inside of the headlight bucket. An incandescent bulb shines primarily from all sides.
If one chooses a good color temperature LED bulb, the light is usually whiter & brighter. Many cheap LED bulbs have "shadows" present in their light beam. This comes from the positioning of the LED on the stalk. Better LEDs will have multiple diodes around the stalk or they will use a reflector to bounce the light back out to the front of the headlight instead of mostly to the side. We have seen drastic improvements in LEDs just in the last 5 yrs. I have all LED lights in my home. I'm sold on the technology as I saw a significant decrease in my electric bill & a big decrease in the amount of heat produced by the bulbs.
Switches? At home or your truck? Incandescent bulbs don't last very long for me. Yes, the LEDs were expensive, but none of them have failed in several years. I got most of the big ones on sale at Lowe's & the rest I have replaced through attrition. I use them in my soffits with a dusk-to-dawn timer. The draw less bugs too!
Now led headlights are replacing halogen lamps, especially in rural areas of the United States need enough bright enough to be safe, I use novsight led headlight can also, you can try it.
Do you have the Quad lamps or the Projectors? I have Projectors. I tried LED but they don't seem to work well with the Projectors. Are the Novsight any better with the Projectors?
Headlight Revolution has some good informational videos on their YouTube channel. Their kits seem to be a little pricier, but at least they have been tested in our vehicles and you will know what the final product will look like.
I have the Factory mid level grade LED headlights in MY 2019 (Hemi). They R one heck of an improvement over quad halogen from MY 15 ED. Software also turns on fog lights when U turn. Kinda like old style GM, not a bad lil option. On real high trim levels (I have Bighorn), they have projector LED which also turn 15 % when U turn. Not so sure on that mod. The mid grades are pretty awesome actually.
I am running the xenonhids.com H11 conversion in my quad headlight low beam on my 2014 after having the headlight revolution H11 blow a bulb after about a month of service and not getting any response from their customer service. The HR bulbs were brighter but the xenonhids set have lasted me much longer and the fans seam to help a lot with keeping the bulbs from burning out. Before the HR LEDs I used retroshop HID with projector conversion that I liked a lot but it kept burning up connectors on the warning cancelers, and eventually got destroyed by a doe and fawn mule deer.
I tried the opt7 and xenonhids h13 led conversions in my 2011 dual beam housing and they weren’t any better than stock so I ended up putting in the HID kit from xenonhids. The low beam on them leaves a large blacked out area in the middle of the beam but is still better than stock and the high beam is amazing.
I have a 2014 with the projector low beam and for a month now am using the Innovited HID's with the built in canbus adapter 3500 watt at 6K and they work great! Super bright with just a hint of blue. $60 for set. I also have the Hikari Cree LED's at 6K in the fogs which match perfectly. $50 for set. I have not yet done the High beams but may go with LED's that are fan-less in order to close the dust cover. Really what a difference and quite inexpensive so far. Here are some you tube links of where I got my ideas from Boostedmotorsports.
LED vs HID in projectors (note I used the 3500 vs 5500 watt due to recommendation from Innovited and built in canbus.)
LED Hikari Fog Lights
Hi there, a quick question on the Hikaris. Is that the kit that you have installed? https://hikari-led.com/headlight-bulbs/ultra-led-headlight-conversion-kit.html
Did you have to add load resistors or just installed the bulbs and they work okay?
I've read that there are many LEDs that flicker badly, so wanted to ask prior to buying.
Thanks, man.
Depends I think on your truck year. I know my 2018 needs can bus resistors to not get flickering or error messages with LED headlight bulbs. I'm installing a set of low beam LED's tomorrow. (my 3rd try with LED's). The 1st two sets had horrible pattern at night tho they looked great coming toward the truck. (which is what some guys care most about).
Fingers crossed. They weren't cheap @ 199 for just the lows.
2018 Bighorn with quad headlamps that suck from Ram.
New Low LED's installed this afternoon with the help and watchful eye/nose of my supervisor Kimber. Testing tonight and will post a report w/pics. High beam supplement already taken care of.
undergroundlighting.com !! The LED's are excellent! Nice white light with a good cutoff and no cels or flickering. Easily twice the usable light as OEM. Not cheap @199.00 but worth it! Way better than the Morimoto 2-Stroke 2.0's I returned to another company! Had I known, I could have saved mucho bucks on the bull bar and the KC's by getting his high beams too. Lotsa junk out on the lighting market with a great marketing plan. Not these. Danny says he can build some yellow high performance fog bulbs too. That sounds like a plan before winter!
I have been messing around with LED bulbs. Started off with some Amazon cheapies Sealight S1. NOt terrible but not an upgrade. Beam pattern had no real hotspot. They came straight out and replaced with some Hikari Ultras. Much better, most notably the beam pattern. Its spot on. At 6500K they are leaning a little toward teh blue spectrum, but still very white. I will leave these for a bit and see how I like them. Want to try a set of newer versions in my high beams but as i am in Canada teh DRL are the highs at low voltage LED dont like this and either flicker or stay full brightness.
Any additional report on the Hikari's? I have been bouncing around between $1300.00 on the full Morimoto assembly replacement for my 2015 Outdoorsman to the cheapy Sealight set for 60 for highs and lows to now reading your post and looking at the Hikari's for around $150 for a set. All I know for sure is that it is getting dark early now and the stock headlights are dangerously dim. After 5 years I really need a decent replacement.
I decided to try the cheapest thing first and so far so good. I spent last than $100 on the Sealights including the resistors. I had them installed for $120.
The improvement is pretty dramatic compared to the stock bulbs. No flickering, radio buzz etc.. so far.
