    Oil Life Reset

I just did my oil and filter change on my truck and need to reset the oil life, I scrolled through the steering wheel controls but did not see anything on it. Does anyone know how to do this?

    Oil Life Reset

Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil change
indicator system. The “Oil Change Required” message
will flash in the EVIC display for approximately 10
seconds after a single chime has sounded, to indicate the
next scheduled oil change interval. The engine oil change
indicator system is duty cycle based, which means the
engine oil change interval may fluctuate, dependent
    upon your personal driving style.

NOTE: Use the steering wheel EVIC controls for the
    following procedure(s)

    Vehicles Equipped With Passive Entry
    1. Without pressing the brake pedal, press the ENGINE
START/STOP button and cycle the ignition to the
ON/RUN position (do not start the engine.)
    2. Press and release the DOWN arrow button to scroll
downward through the main menu to “Vehicle Info”.
    3. Press and release the RIGHT arrow button to access
    the ”Oil Life” screen.
    4. Press and release the DOWN arrow button to select
“Reset”, then press and release the Right arrow button
to select reset of the Oil Life to 100%.
    5. Press and release the Up arrow button to exit the EVIC
    screen.

Vehicles Not Equipped With Passive Entry
    5. Press and release the Up arrow button to exit the EVIC
    screen.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you
start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not
reset. If necessary, repeat this procedure.

I had my first oil change today, actually it is the first time back to the dealer since we picked it up 6 months ago. Dropped it off at 9490 miles. On the way home we received the message that it was time for the oil change (when it rolled over 9500 miles). Called the dealer to walk me through it, and they couldn't do it. They kept saying that it was in the message center. From the instructions above, it's in the "Vehicle Info" section. First mistake.
When we bought the truck we also purchased a detail service every 6 months. When we got home, I looked at the truck in the direct sun and found places where they left polish on the truck, Second Mistake.
After finding places where they left the polish, I checked around the truck and also found that they didn't do the same treatment on the roof. When I asked if the roof was included (trying really hard to restrain my sarcasm), they said yes. Third Mistake.
Windows were not cleaned completely. They are not round, you could tell where they cleaned and where they didn't. They also forgot the sunroof and the front windshield. Fourth Mistake.

Individually each item is not a big deal, but when you have to add it all together, it's a big deal to me. I paid for a $60k+ truck and I want it to look like it for as long possible.

I go back to the dealer tomorrow. I guess I need to make sure that they have the correct oil and know how much to put in.

Is it so hard to change the oil and detail a vehicle? They had all day to get it done, no rush.

    Sorry for the rant.

That's a lot of reading and fiddling. I just go to the oil life window and press reset. Works riding down the road as my dealer has forgotten to reset it both times they did an oil change.
