Put it somewhere warm, get a winter front and see if it clears itself.

I just got this message this morning. When I went to drive it it limited me to 3rd gear so essentially undrivable just wondering what guys that have had this problem have seen. Is it going to go away when the temp warms up or does it stay in until I have a dealer reset it. Dealer is the 23rd before they can look at it again. Called a different dealer they said this is far from uncommon which it was nice to get an honest answer but they couldn't look at it sooner. So should i drive it and hope it comes out of it or what are others doing that have had this. This morning was -8 F so I'm sure it's iced up due to condensation and will clear up as it supposed to be in the 40s this coming week. I was also down earlier with the no start issue for 2 weeks. Thanks for any input
There's this thread which discusses this issue. https://www.ram1500diesel.com/forum/r...tercooler.html
I see on this thread and others that posters are referring to being a certain gear. Where is the gear shown? I have looked through my settings on the evic and see any gear display. I have a 2015 ED Big Horn.
Agree with Markyz, I had her in a heated shop overnight(24hrs), disconnected battery, pulled the intercooler hose drivers side to drain. connect everything back up. pulled it out new code exhaust filter 100% full. Drove it 60 km/hr to dealer. they informed me that there is 2 service bulletin now out that they need to perform on the truck one of which is a winter front.
I had the same issue, had mine towed, it took 3 weeks to get it fixed. Replaced the Turbo and Intercooler, Installed a winter front, made it from Monday to Friday (today) and it started every time with no issue. Our temps were well below zero in the morning and single digits above during the days. Heat wave coming this weekend. Now I get to start the ON/OFF cycle of winter fronts, it is going to be 50 next week and rumors of a cold snap after that so.... we shall see how the front works. For now it seems to have helped. Sad to say but since last November and the purchase of my new truck this is only the 3rd time I've made it through a whole week without some starting issue.
My service throttle threw codes that led them to the TSB about the winter front. It also caused the CCV system to fail which allowed oil and water into the Intercooler and Turbo.
If it take 3 weeks to fix mine they will be buying her back. wow. If I'm not on the road I'm not making the coin. I do 5000 miles (8000km) every month, my 2012 Ram Hemi was flawless.
So... since there is a TSB on a winter front... are they supplying it free of charge?
Can someone post the TSB number??

I THINK Im gonna ask for a winter front for my new truck for my troubles and I don't even have it yet ! Truck came in a couple days ago ,I went to view it and made an appointment for this morning at 9am to pick up.Well I get up drive 1/2 hr to dealer to find my truck sitting outside all dirty and not prepped, pissed me off ! Dealer said he was sorry totally his fault got times wrong ,he thought it is set for 4 pm.Give me a break ! Get your sh$t together!.SO drove home and have to go back later, beautiful day here today and roads are dry so truck will stay clean at least for one day and I have to wait till 4. Idiots
They said they would fill my tank up for my troubles, should it not come with a full tank anyway ?
