too bad I cannot find a file as detailed for more recent models .
    ..
EX: for same lenght frame , the truck with different option will weight more , ( ex: sun roof ),
that truck with more heavy options will allow less towing capacity , as to not go over max
weight for said frame lenght .
I hope this makes sense to you.

I can’t see anything on that chart that differentiates the bottom two rows.

My guess being the difference between the bottom 2 rows is 4x2 vs 4x4??? Seems the transfer case/fluid, upper shaft, front axle, and locking hubs should add several hundreds of pounds overall.

My Long Horn has consistently been between 6,060 (OEM tires) and 6,300 (12.5 E TIRES) pounds plus...give or take 50 either way depending on DEF and Fuel levels every time I weight out at the dump.

Truck pulled my 8x24 enclosed v-nose 7,500lbs trailer with ease, much power off the line. I could feel it back there (compared to my Excursion)...but not significantly.
    2002 Excursion Limited 7.3 w/ 277k and counting
2016 Longhorn ED with GDE 185k / 4.375 hrs and counting

Craig's Listed my Long Horn grill for partly this reason replacing with black honeycomb sport grill. Painted Border and Cross 'white gold' to match the 2 tone LH look. Knocked 15 degrees off over 65mph in 90* Florida heat.

Additionally, if you are 'up North' suggest the winter cover especially for this grill. Some good threads around here on what others have done...I have NO experience in that category... although we did see 29* this winter all the way up here in North Florida cool:

I’m replying from a browser on my phone right now, so I can’t figure out how to direct the replies to each individual,
@AOFA you can "mention" someone like this, no matter what browser or platform you use.

If your using the yellow mobile browser, check the box in the post then tap on the " along the top(see pic). The black mobile browser, the Reply with Quote is in the lower right of the conversation box. If you use mobile alot, you might want to try the Tapatalk app.

Yea I understand the difference in weight for varying drivetrains. Problem is those rows are listed under specific build of CC, 6’4” bed, 4x4.

As far as cooler running grills, options are out there. Way back in ‘15, one of the first things I did was replace my BigHorn grill with these inserts and am satisfied. It’s a relatively cheap upgrade IMO.

What you are seeing refers to note #12 at the very bottom of that page you snipped.

Essentially Lone Star & Big Horn Packages are derated because of their configuration, which I believe is entirely due to their grill.

The black out edition grill looks unrestrictive at least about the same as the longhorn grill.

The 3.92 gearing configuration is derated with these models from its maximum rated tow.
