ZF recommends changing at 62k. I would consider it until I saw the price they are going to charge you.

If you plan to keep it long term, get it done. Either dealer or local transmission shop. ZF transmission used in 10-15 other vehicles world wide. FCA does not have the only chassis these are in.

Do it at 100k at a competent place other than the dealer. Print off the instructions from the transmission section and bring that and the fluid with you so that all you are paying them for is the labor. Bet it’s less than 1/2 what a Ram dealership would charge you.

According to the owners manual its lifetime fluid. I changed mine at 100,000 miles.

Agree w/ 100 and maybe 125 if not towing much with a lot of hwy miles. Got 15% discount on fluid and pan at dealer then paid tranny shop 1 hr labor. At 250 I will switch to either Amsoil or Maxlife ATF.

Yes but, "lifetime" being the life of the warranty.

I changed mine at 150k just because that's when I got the truck. THe magnets inside the pan were LOADED with shavings and gunk. I used Amsoil at $8/qt, plus OE pan. It's easy to do yourself, the truck even tells you the transmission temperature, so it takes all the guesswork out of it. Lots of videos online and you don't even need to jack it up. Just need a little hand-pump to transfer from oil can to tranny. Took me like 30min.

I changed mine at 70k and the fluid analysis was good. Would have been comfortable waiting until 100k.

    I used Valvoline MaxLife.

Im at 66k miles on mine. Planning to change the filter/pan at 70 and fill and wait a 1000 or so miles drain and refill again to get higher % of new fluid, and after that I will only drain and fill every 50-75k as long as I keep the truck.
