Anyone know when that changed and if they are flexible on that requirement or when that started? I'm shipping to a Nevada address with a nevada billing address.
Yeah , when I posted my reply it was true, this new request from GDE did not apply ,
first heard of it on July 23th , in here : https://www.ram1500diesel.com/forum/...uirements.html

Requiring a copy of the registration is their only way to keep tunes from going to Califunny vehicles.

Yup. Sucks. Had a family member recently discover this. He also discovered GDE and CARB settled for $50,000.

It sucks, but from GDE's standpoint, I wouldn't touch this shithole state with a 10 mile pole either. Sucks how unelected officials can force regulations like this and impose fines. Not voted in but "appointed."

Explains a lot, especially why they (GDE) are so adamant about no tunes appearing in Califunny

John, having a GDE tune in CA, are you able to get any updates GDE sends out (if there are updates)?

No, none, nada! When you call they see the Califunny area code and are quick to say they do not support anything in California. Doesn't make any difference what GDE tune you have or how long you've had it. That's why I sold my GDE tune and went with SFT.

Those who already have it are welcome to keep it as is. Updates aren't really necessary unless you allow the dealer to overwrite it. I had the original tune for 4 years without any updates.

Correct, updates aren't 'required'. But it does help to have the latest flash part number provided with the updates. The dealer will see the latest part number when hooked up and the tune will not be overwritten. Minor but something to consider.

Both assuming the AEM was performed on a spare ECM since I understand the AEM is required in CA in order to renew registration,
