However, in our vehicles it is not turbo lag. It is lag that is programmed into the tune.

Any small displacement engine without a turbo is a dog. Add a turbo to get more air in and more fuel can be added, therefore more power. Use two small turbos instead of one larger one and get the same boost with less lag. Not aware of any mod to accomplish this on the Eco and with the pain to change out the turbo it would be difficult to mod anyway. My truck will stay stock and I will not be pulling out into traffic without boost and torque to the rear wheels.

    Red face

Finished uploading the updated software to the ECU/TCM and did transmission clearing of the adaptive memory. I am now back in my happy place...;-)
Heading out for a 500 mile trip North so I will post my results when I return. So far I'm really happy with the throttle response and the transmission shift pattern. It's actually shifting into OD! I have turbo boost at idle again!

I'm a Diagnostic Imaging Engineer as well as working in IT. I'd rather have the ability to program my own System than go through all the trouble of shipping and waiting. I downloaded the program to my laptop and uploaded to SKT server. Within a day I had my updated tune and transmission files. Took all of 20 min to reprogram the ECU/TCM. Turbo boost is now available at idle so no more delay, and it shirts quickly keeping RPM at 1800. My trip to Kansas Thursday Yielded 28.5 mpg (50 miles in town), and 30.1 on second leg. 620 miles overall. Getting on the highway is a breeze now.

The delay was not related to turbo boost.
