What specific safety recalls? The emission laws were in effect since the day your truck was manufactured. If you were to get updates to the untuned ECM, you will lose the updates when you reinstall the tune.Yes they are going to do the tone ring and sensor.
Maybe you would know this. My dealer said they will not do the safety recalls on my truck because it has been deleted. Do they have to do the recalls regardless if they are safety related? My truck was deleted long before any of the current emission laws were in effect.
Shit i bought my truck deleted and tuned from a Big dealership where i live. when i took my truck in last month when it died(valve Body) i told the service advisor straight away to put a note on the computer and my ticket DELETED DEISEL do not flash unless necessary. (I'm not the owner who deleted it, and i don't have a handheld to reinstall whatever tune is on it)Yes they are going to do the tone ring and sensor.

@dbrandt5212, we would love to have you post your mileage in the High Mileage thread so we can document/track your success. You can find it here-----> (159) 100,000 - 500,000 Mile Club | RAM 1500 Diesel ForumI have a 14 ram EcoDiesel with 299,600 miles
I have a 14 ram EcoDiesel with 299,600 miles and last month the vehicle stalled and quit as I was driving. Got it to a safe location and checked the codes p0087 and p016F were the codes present. Did some research and found out the HPFP was recalled and the codes pointed me in that direction. Took it to the dealer and they finally got it started and brought it in and said they thought it was the Tone Ring which was also a recall but my VIN did not fall into the recall. They continued to try to tell me that the tone ring was the reason for the codes mentioned above and they would need to replace the tone ring at a cost of $2k to $2500 before they could do the recall on the HPFP which I know the part is not available but I have talked with a Chrysler case manager and she is in agreement to replace all parts as needed with a new defective pump to get me back on the road and when the fix is available they would replace it with the recalled fix.
Would a Tone ring set the codes mentioned above? My thought would be it would set a crank shaft position sensor code not a low fuel pressure code.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
Not if it wasn't one of the defective tone wheels. All I can say is, 300k miles on the original tone ring is a miracle.
Any update on this yet ?I have a 14 ram EcoDiesel with 299,600 miles and last month the vehicle stalled and quit as I was driving.
