So, I am looking at potentially purchasing a 2014 ram 1500 ecodiesel( bc canada). The dealer that I am working with is telling me that the invoice quad cab isn't 37559. He keeps saying that the base truck is worth a shy under 40,000. I have used unhaggle and canadian car cost. The truck is a black clear coat, antispin, hitch, comfort package, diesel, backup camera, cloth bucket seats, u-connect 8.4, remote start, SLT package, bedliner, tranny. He has rejected 46k,47k. He wants 49k after tax. Is he having me on or am I missing something here. Incentives here are 8500 on the truck plus 1500 for a pre-existing truck. Thoughts?

My truck purchased in Ontario outdoorsman base price was 42000 came up,to 57000 with all the options possible accept for sunroof got it for 43000 tax in , there was a 10000 discount plus 1500$ to work In a trade and another 1500 for working for a company that is world wide . From ram truck.ca. The slt is starting at 25000$. 49000$ after tax doesn't make sense I would consider calling other dealerships in your area and getting a quote and finding witch dealer will compete to give you a better price .

Wholly shit dude! Buddy is ripping you off.....i ordered my laramie limited for 49702 +tax came out to almost 57 out thw door see ya later...
Why dont you do an internet order to a huge dealer who does volume. If u cant find one pm me ill point ya towards a couple that i shopped when i bought mine....

And then after you buy go back to that dickhead and show him your bill and shove it up his ass!! I hate these slimey fuckers selling cars, makes me sick! Ripping off a fellow canadian. When i was shopping i went to 6 or 7 dealer...one of them this slime ball was trying to just bullshit me to no end and rip me off.....i ended up getting escorted off the property! Pretty much the lowest forms of human life....some of them anyways.

ya, you should be able to get that truck for $40k max with maybe freight/tax on top. I know cause I did a deal on almost the exact truck and backed out when they couldn't order it with the premium bench seat in place of the buckets ...stupid restrictions!

Just go to trader.ca, dealers are advertising heavily reduced trucks on their, that's what I did, then I just showed them the add and told them I'd go their if they didn't match it :) Even if it's a couple hours away, it's worth it if it's going to save you hundreds or even thousands.

I had everything you've got plus protection package, fogs, 20" wheels and 3.92 final drive.

Just posted my SLT truck info in the Introduction Site Page from Ontario.
Original price was $48990 plus transport, vehicle prep, taxes.
All in, I paid $39400 OTD

Just a quick update on the negotiation. I got one dealer for 42k after taxes out the door. I suspect that is about as good of a deal as I can get. Thoughts?

As long as you think you got a good deal, that's all the matters.... I would say you are definately in the ball park! hard to say for sure, incentives seem to be different everywhere....
