I would love for someone who has been suffering from ongoing P026C that continues to stump the dealer to go and get the GDE tune so that we could confirm its a FCA tune problem. At least this is my theory.

I'm now getting the same "Injector cleaning is standard maintenance and must be done" line after the truck has been at the dealer ship for 2 weeks now. They said they were stumped since everything looks OK and the code isn't really telling them much. They do apparently have a STAR case and have been recommended the flush as it apparantly has worked for others. I'm getting that done, but would be shocked if the code doesn't come back up on my way home.

If the code comes back I guess I'm going to start looking into the buyback process and seeing if this would be covered, I've got the AEM and new EGR done within the last year. I'm 4 dealer trips in and 29 days total without the truck so far since November. I like to think I'm patient and really do like this truck and don't want to deal with buying another, but it seems to me they are just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks.

I am about the same time in December and January and still going back. They “cleaned” my sensors, ran that expensive “injector clean” which turned out to be the same stuff I have been running in my truck for 18k miles, so knew that wouldn’t work. They replaced the O2 sensor this last time around and I knew it wouldn’t work so I requested to keep the old one. Sure enough, P026C is back and I requested they put my old O2 sensor back in, I’m keeping the new one, and want my $134 in labor back. I have been telling them since day 1.... injectors, injectors, injectors. I’m also tired of 13mpg.

I’m trying to save up the $1200 for it because I am also curious about this, although I’m pretty convinced it’s my injectors.

Gene you beat me to it. I'm now holding the torch for the longest wait for a replacement EGR. Glad you finally made it in I did reach out to RamCares still seems like they don't care. How's the truck now?

I have only driven a couple of hundred miles since the egr/flash and and having to clear the MIL. So far all seems good, though I am in anticipation of the CEL again..

I had a P026C after the AEM. After putting the GDE tune back in I didn’t see it anymore.

Surprisingly I've not seen this code come back after the injector cleaner. Granted I've not been driving a ton recently, but have still put in more miles between fixes last time. Super odd and I'll for sure be keeping an eye on this.

My CEL came on a few days ago and today I learned that I got the dreaded P026C code. Truck has been running fine since CEL came on. Quick question, I have a four hour round trip tomorrow, will it be fine to take my truck? Seems like most that have this only suffer poor gas mileage? I don’t want to run the risk of getting stranded!

I ran my truck for a few weeks with the P026C code. The dealer finally got it resolved for me by replacing the intake manifold covered under the powertrain warranty.

Ok, heres my situation. I had the code p026c.It ended up at the dealer five times and over a month and a half total days in the shop.. They replaced the injectors, rails,fuel pumps, fuel filter, drained the tank, all seals, oxygen sensor and finally the scr catalyst, now the truck is fine and mileage is up considerably.

I have a 14 pre epa gde getting low fuel and oil pressure and no start so may not be 100% ecu related...think it's the harnesses in these things. They r all exposed to water intrusion
