2016 ram 1500 3.6l crank, no start

My nephew's truck had the pentastar tick and we replaced all 4 cams etc. Put it all back together and now it will crank but won't start. No power at the coil packs. The positive terminal was disconnected instead of the neg (just including this because not sure if it matters). Any help on where to start would be greatly appreciated. TIA

You have no 12v at the coils or no pulse at the coils?
Have you checked more than 1 coil?

Yes, nothing at any of the coils. I checked 2 on pass side and one on driver side. No power. If somehow we got it out of time while replacing the cams, etc could that cause the no fire?

How are you checking for power at the coils? Are you using a meter and good ground or a noid light?

I think it might be a PCM issue. If we get a used PCM with the same part number does the PCM need to be "programmed" to the truck or it is just plug and play?

Yes it needs to be programmed to the VIN and injectors

OP Is working on a gas engine, not a diesel.
As far as replacing the PCM goes ,while anything is possible, I highly doubt the PCM went bad while you were replacing the cams .
