I picked my truck up last October and it just rolled 30,000kms. The truck is super smooth and quiet. I put the GDE hot tune in at 1,800kms and I have never seen anything above 8L/100kms even in the winter. I usually get around 7.2- 7.3l/100 in the summer. I have had to add 4 jugs of DEF fluid in the 30,000kms. I bought this truck for the mileage as I own a pest control company and I drive a lot. I just completed my route today which consists of mostly back roads with 25kms of highway and the evic is showing 6.5l/100kms which is 36mpg us or 43 imperial. I've had zero issues with the truck. I'm going to send my next oil change out for analysis just for peace of mind. I'm super happy with my purchase, thanks to all who post in this forum. Without you I probably would have just bought a Hemi.

And consider the GDE Tranny tune sooner than later. I waited till I had 183000kms on mine and wished I'd done it sooner.

Must be 3.55 gears to achieve that fuel mielage. Also must be driven in flat terrain. Still impressive.

Realistically there's only about 1mpg difference between 3.55 and 3.92. The ratios are closer together than you might think.

I just completed a trip from IL to NC and back. Some of my best mileage was in the mountains of WV.

My trip was the opposite direction of yours. NC to Iowa and back. Best mileage I got was on flat state and county roads keeping the speed between 60 and 65. South Bend, IN to Columbus, OH. Hit 27 mpg on that tank. Next best tank was last year from Lexington to Charlotte. In and out of the mountains got me 26.8. 3.92 gearing and all stock.

Those are exceptional numbers Chiaj.
What part of Ontario are you driving? I can't get near those numbers around the GTA.

the EVIC also says the average speed for that " 6.5 L/100Km stretch " was 53 kmh , ( 32.9327 MPH )
no wind resistence at those speeds , gotta love the economy , I often see 5L/100KM on EVIC
doing 103KMH on highway ( 64 MPH ) , in the summer , --> tuned .:cool:

5L/100 kms???? Has to do something with flat eastern terrain. I cant get better then 7.5/100 here in the west. GDE tuned 3.92 laramie CC.

3.55 rear end , I guess the wind has to be just right to see 5L/100Km , mostly 6L / 100Km.
that's the display on the EVIC .

it is not constant 5 or 6 , you must have some stretch of road where you see it too , no ???
secret is " speed " , everybody is passing me at those speeds , climbing for overpasses I can see 12L/100 , going down other side
I see 4L/100 , 103KMH is slow for highway speeds , nice to see 6L/100km , but I can't stay at those speeds for very long , the
speed demon in me goes nuts , ,I take it to 115KMH most of the time and then I see 9L/100km .
the average on evic is between 8.6L/100km and 9L/100km (in summer )mixed city and highway .
..
Tuned .
for a while I had a chrome deflector under the truck bolted to the frame , I was thinking that made a difference
but one day jacking up the truck , the the truck slipped ( metal on metal ) and fell off the jack destroying my chrome
wind deflector , I still got the same numbers after the loss of the deflector , no scientific proof it helped .

I'm South of Ottawa. This is as good as I can get with the truck driving in all directions on your average country roads. Anywhere from 50-90kms/hr.

Chiaj144, is that hand calculated? Or straight from the optimistic trip computer?

Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk
Didn't hand calculate this portion of the tank but the trip computer is pretty accurate. What most people don't understand is that it only records a couple hundred kms not the entire trip. I've only hand calculated a couple full tanks on a trip to Florida and the best I got at highway speeds was 7.1L/100.
