So I ordered a Stage 2 SOTF w/ a pre-tuned ECU, the trans tune, power gate 4, and the exhaust kit from EOC. I’ve been trying to gather as much information as I can before all the parts arrive, it seems that there aren’t that many 3rd gen ecodiesels tuned/deleted. At least not posted anyway. So far I’ve received the pretuned ECU. From my understanding, because I didn’t clone my stock ECU, it’ll show the red evic light. Is there anyway to get it off? Is it still possible to clone it on the pretuned ECU? Any other options out there to get rid of the light? Are the swirl valves also shut off? I did read that you’d have to request it specifically. Are there any instructions for the tuning portion out there? I only ask because it’s quite difficult to find a shop near me that has experience with ecodiesels, let alone tuning them. They’re mostly the big 3 kind of shops. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thank yall!

Have to wonder if the light is due to the ECU not having the correct VIN number? It's possible to update that with AlfaOBD but it might be worth asking EOC if that's the cause and/or solution.
As for the swirl valves they're not really an issue if your deleted since there's not soot going into the intake to gum them up.

Welcome to the forum - first post.

You are right...few Gen 3 trucks are deleted for a couple of reasons I can think of. One is they seem to work well in stock form. Then there is the EPA issue that was a major problem about the time your truck and others like it were being first offered. That sure shut down, or shut up the delete providers.

Good for you to find and get the job done.

Good luck with the tuning of your 2020.

I got a 2020 EcoDiesel and in it's stock form, I'm very happy with it.

I've only had one issue and that was the ECU went bad. Nothing diesel related and I'm at 65k miles.

I'm so happy with it, instead of ditching it to upgrade, I went ahead and got an extended warranty and keep up on the maintenance.

I was hoping to go longer without any issues. But at 119,xxx miles, I’m already getting the codes for the intake manifold runners. So I already have a new oem intake manifold for it, but I’m waiting on the parts and tune to be installed before replacing the intake manifold. I did notice when I removed my egr hp pipe into the manifold, it seemed damp and smelled like coolant and tbh, there wasn’t as much soot build up as I expected like some other pictures and videos I’ve watched. So I’m worried about the egr leaking coolant. So I’m curious if shutting off the EGR with the tune will stop the coolant leak into the manifold if that is the case. And I will eventually order the egr delete kit from EOC as they have recently posted it as available for pre order.

Im okay for now with coolant leaking from the EGR, I’m more worried about coolant/soot mix getting into the intake manifold. That’s why I’m curious if shutting off the EGR would prevent coolant going into the upper high pressure EGR tube mixing with the soot going into the intake manifold. Eventually I will get the EGR deleted
