Truck went from driving great to Low Oil Pressure on dash, went thru screen and found 17psi oil, let up throttle to find safe area to pull over off 4 lane, by time I got on shoulder engine quit and I coasted to stop, got out and checked and oil is full, so tow to dealer.
Sucks as it was a great driving truck

That would be my dream, but in silver or blue. I'm the guy that sold my Classic ED because it was white--well, maybe there were a few other reasons! However, a guy let me sit in his Cobra in Deadwood last year and I could barely get in and out--partly because I couldn't lean on the door at all. Fifty some years ago, my first car was a Bugeye Sprite and people would watch to see if I could get my (then) 6' 4" frame contorted enough to get in. Mind you, if someone gives me a Cobra, or even gives me a ride in one, I'll do whatever it takes to get my aged body in!
The Bugeye, along with the sunbeam tiger, there have been some neat ones, that I'd love to have But the Cobra is the ONE for me, @ 5'10" I don't quite have the physical complications that you describe, but the wife had a Miata (fun car) but got an interest in a saturn redline and there was no way, loved the car and the performance, but it was even tighter than the Miata, the only complaint from me on the Miata was it seemed a little anemic, thanking a windmill or blow-dryer may have helped some  :LOL:

do you still have the Sprite??? be a nice one to still own;)

The Sprite was several lifetimes ago, LOL! It would sure be fun to have one with a more modern four banger in it--not quite a Tiger, but fun. I'd never heard of the Redline--it doesn't look like it should be that cramped.

the saturn which was actually called "Sky" was the same as the Pontiac solstice and they are "tight" they were turbo'd and had decent hp output, and fun to drive, and yes the Sprite with some newer technology would be fun (y)

Well after 72k miles we traded our truck, after new engine installed at 60k it ran great and I was looking for another Ram with same engine, Cars.com showed quite a few that were discounted but calling the dealers-none, at least a Laramie or Limited so we changed to Chevolet 1500 LTZ Z71 with a 3.0 Duramax, has new LZ0 engine so hopefully it will be ok, still have the 23 Wrangler Rubicon with the ECO and love it.

If you were happy with the Ram, why did you trade it, especially since it had a new engine?

On a side note, I wish you the best with the new 3.0L Duramax.

I was betting i could get a good trade price with warranty left and I did, got $35.5k and I paid 42k in 2020, I was planning on trading before warranty ran out and trade would of been alot lower and new higher yet

Please keeps us informed how your Z71 works out for you. I almost went that direction before I bought our limited Eco-Diesel. So far am really happy with the Ram outside of the recall in the HPFP. But that is minor I guess if we do not have any problems with it until they finally get the fix in for the HPFP.

There are issues with the newer mini-Duramax such as random stalling. IIRC, GM is still trying to figure out what is causing that problem.
Just something to get you thinking .... The GM 3.0 I6 diesel was designed/developed by Opel. In 2021, Opel became a supsidiary of Stellantis.

It will take some time to get a good evaluation, hopefully it wasn't a mistake, with less than 600 miles on duramax it seems harder to get same mpg than with the Eco.

I wouldn't hesitate buying the 3.0L Duramax if I were a GM guy. They all have their shortcomings. But since I'm a Ram guy, I'll deal with the shortcomings of the EcoDiesel. There's no perfect vehicle. My philosophy is to buy what you love and enjoy the ownership.

Totally agree!

I chose the 2020 model year because the Gen 3 engine and the fact that it has a ZF transmission. What more could I want?

Oh and if it makes you feel any better, watch this video. Poor sap has his CP4 die on his ~50k miles F350 while towing a 5th wheel with a lot of $$$ in the back... along with the smugness of the Ford dealer's attitude:

Just like what another member (dieseldragon) says on here about Stella... "Stella Antics stands behind your truck!!! DON'T BACKUP!!!" In this case "Ford stands behind your truck!!! DON'T BACKUP!!!" lol

I'm still giving Stella/FCA credit, at least they are addressing the problem (albeit, slow as molasses).

But yep, all vehicles have their shortcomings in one way or another.

I feel sorry for the Ford guy, but he handled it well.

I haven't seen many high mileage gen 3 EcoDiesels, but so far, they seem to be holding up well. So far, we've towed through CA, NV, AZ, UT, NM, TX, OK, KS, MO, IL, and AR with our 3rd gen EcoDiesel. We'll be leaving in a few weeks for another big towing trip (2,500+ miles).

We had the 2015 EcoDiesel derate and throw a code when we were in Branson, Missouri. We had just got to the campground and unhooked. The truck was still under warranty. The dealer put a new MAP sensor in and got us back on the road the next day. Fortunately, my parents had met us in Branson, so they picked us up at the dealership and we went about our day as normal. In all the years we've owned the 2015 EcoDiesel, we haven't had any other breakdowns. The 2015 EcoDiesel has towed through CA, NV, AZ, UT, NM, CO, TX, OK, KS, NE, MO, AR, LA, MS, TN, AL, and FL. We've towed through some of these states multiple times.

I have ran all of the "big 3" offerings and like you mentioned they all have their issues, I am a long time chevy enthusiast. and like most of their old offerings like most of the SBC's (I did say most) some were tirds, I've always liked what you could do with BBF's and the SBF's were good engines too, I have only owned a handful of gasoline powered dodge/chrysler vehicles, and I have owned 2 import brand car/truck and several scooters and atv's, and I cannot say that any of them had the market cornered on one particular thing, most had something I liked, and every one of them had things I would have done different, but I will say it seems like I'm the luckiest guy in the world as far as getting decent service out of all the vehicles I have owned, I only had two vehicles that I would consider a "lemon", one GMC and one Dodge CTD, both were repaired and sold and neither turned me against those companies, cause I know overall they make decent equipment (y)

Same experiences here. Both personally and at work. I've owned all big 3 including some foreign. My most positive experiences for me have been Ford and Dodge/RAM.

I think we got a lemon 2022 CTD at work, because it ate a camshaft at 19k miles, along with some odd/ends codes, etc. Still sitting waiting for a camshaft on B/O.
