900,000 miles

What the heck is your seat like, with this much use? I'd think you would need to update for seat cushions do break down and affect comfort.

I'm newer to this since last fall, and not aware what vern does to put this many miles on.

I don't know the exact year of your pickup, but 100,000 plus miles a year is around 275 miles a day.....makes my butt ache thinking about that...

I am curious if others run Amsoil in differentials. My 2019 front axle got loose inside and needed replaces, makes me wonder.....if I should switch at my first change. Only at 12,000 on my 2022 Ram 1500. ED. I'm not pulling, just driving.

Here's what he said, "Because of already owning a 2014 and fuel economy we have used this engine to tow Airstream TTs commercially. An aftermarket tune has proven to be a good investment. 371,000 miles my first one pushed a head gasket due to low coolant from an EGR cooler leak. Bought a new warrantied replacement engine very cheap and put it in with an EGR cooler delete to keep this from happening again. It cracked a head at 423,000 miles. Business partner has a 2015 his fuel pump imploded filling a cylinder in his at 452,000 miles. Another forum member has 517,000 on his still rolling. For a disposable uber fuel efficient motor and with emissions beating tune its got pros & cons."

Nah, we all win by keeping each other in check. Sometimes our memories are accurate and sometimes they aren't. It's a big forum with lots of moving parts to keep track of.

No by-pass just the Mopar fuel filter or its twin that includes the built in water separator. I change it every 30k per my original warranty ie third oil change. That particular item is a key because it’s often water that kills the high pressure fuel pump. If when a high pressure fuel pump goes it can pollute the whole fuel system and it’s the 2nd most expensive thing to replace just short of the engine itself. Nobody wants to put $10k in a truck with 350k miles so.

Dieseldragon absolutely no guarantee of it making another 91k. My youngest daughter just had her car stolen and wrecked. When it settles out she said she wants a truck like mine. I told her she doesn’t need an ED and if she does then it needs to be a 2020+.

FYI on my 21 they changed that interval to 20k. So I believe you are onto something with Filter changes...

Which interval? I talking fuel filter, my 2016 says every 20k as well.

The early EcoDiesel manuals said something like this:

Replace fuel filter every 30,000 miles or 36 months when using conventional no. 2 diesel or up to B5 biodiesel blends.

Replace fuel filter every 20,000 miles or 24 months when using a biodiesel blend greater than B5.

Change my fuel filter every 15K per eco-diesel source on youtube, his advise and intervals have been spot on. Having used EDT in every tank has probably kept my HPFP from grenading so far also.

I'm talking RAM 1500.....not eco exclusive.

I think if Ram had stayed the course advertised the ED it’s economy and the complete engine update they did with the 2020+ engines that they would have sold more EDs in 2023 then they had yet in 20,21, or 22.
