I need some air bags for my 2021 Ram 2500 Tradesman CTD. We've bought a 5th wheel, along with the heavy hitch I can see the need for bags.

Now the question is what kind? Nothing fancy, don't need an air compressor auto type, just a simple air chuck in the back to trim out the load, but quality bags that will last.

TIA

Pics or it didn't happen. You of all people know we like pics. What did you do with the old bumper pull?

We are still in the old unit waiting for the seller to get the title (bank loan) for the 5th wheel. Hopefully soon in the next week.

The old camper, it is worn out and needs to go away. It is a 38 year old 1994 Coachman, pretty much toast. I gutted all the solar gear, getting ready to swap out next week. The newer (2009) is a 26 footer and for the years is in wonderful shape, aka, the roof is good. While it was fun for camping and fishing, it is time for an upgrade. We have used the crap out of this old Coachman. What a tank though....

@ Captainmal, We are hunkered down at Bashford's Hot Mineral Spa Rv park south of Palm Springs, Ca. Quiet out of the way place. The RV site cost $2850 for the year. Electric is extra. It is way too hot here in the summer for living, but we have a hold on this site. It is a long drive to town, about 50 miles. We'll stay here till March or so, whenever the desert heat comes back, it can get hell hot at -225 feet below sea level. We like it.

Yesterday I installed the 5th wheel hitch, I'm a bit sore from the monkey moves, but it's done and done right. And thus the need for air bags. Heavy sum bitch, strong looking too and well secured.

I can't find the picture of the new RV, I'll post one soon .

Ordered and on the way. Etrailer has great deals, and ships for free. They are the Amazon of trailer parts, and cheaper too. The new hitch showed up in a semi tractor/trailer. The Firestone airbags had good reviews.

Hopefully the air bag don't have you cutting anything to do the install. My Boss air bag were a straight no-cut install. Some brands have pieces of metal removed to do the install.

Have fun doing the install and enjoy.

I'm sure you chose the spot because it reminds you of Anchorage! Depending on the rain--or lack thereof--Anzo Borego can have spectacular flowers in the spring, as can Death Valley. Joshua Tree is fascinating. Will you wander widely next summer or pick a cooler spot to hang out for months? Congrats on the new trailer.

We're here until winter fades as it has it's icy grip on most of the US right now. But the plan is to travel around and see what/where we would like to live, probably up in the Pacific Northwest. I'm not a hot weather person after 44 years of living and working in Alaska. My folks live near Palm Springs, I have long experience in this part of the world and have RV,ed around here often.
