I have been seeing guys putting these leveling kits on there trucks. I would like to do this being i really like the look. but i was wondering are these affecting the mpg of the truck. i figure if it did it may only be 1-2 mpg maybe not even that much, but i am just curious.

I did the bilstein shock lift set at 2.1 truck leveled out very nicely. I used zone UCA replacing stock to eliminate the ball joint failure issue known from lifts and angle increasements.
I installed fuel rims with 35 x 12.5 x 20 Toyo open country AT 2 extreme my truck is a cc 4x4 with a 6' 4" box.
Average before lift and tires was around 22.2mpg my new average is around 19mpg now.

All this talk about mileage, people need to consider their truck's box size, tire size, as well if it is a 4x4 Or not!
I know I ride around alot of windy and hilly roads, modest hills but has some gradeto them, it is these grades that lower your mileage considerly!

State your trucks info first example box size 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive then your tire size, as well as your average road conditions.
This would help others better!

Agree 100 %. I'll never see the mileage those south Louisiana or Florida boys are seeing. Speed driven is a big factor as well. I regularly see 28 to 30 in Louisiana. My post about mpg change is comparing apples with apples though. I haven't changed box size, terrain driven on etc...the fact that it's a Tradesman 4 x 4 with 3:55 rear end & upsize in tires is clearly stated
