When I picked up my truck I noticed the tips of the valve stems were green. I asked my salesman why that was and he replied that the dealership always replaces the air with nitrogen on vehicles with the pressure sensors to eliminate variances due to ambient temperatures and that the green tips alert you to know that the tires have nitrogen in them instead of air.
So where do I get nitrogen if I need to increase tire pressure?
Is this a true statement and is this normal practice?
