Can somebody tell me what this is?

I'm a very cold morning earlier this week, i had the truck running on auto start for a few mins. When i came out i could smell the exhaust a little stronger than normal. Didn't think much of it since it's freezing. I left and came back to find a puddle of what I think is soot. It resembled a very thick oil. Upon investigating under the hood I see what is pictured appearing to be leaking. Can somebody help me to identify what this is? Looks like it needs to be replaced. Is this the DPF? Thanks!

@stage5 that's your oil filter housing, if it's leaking it could be the o-ring (which a new one comes with every filter) or the housing is loose.
Maybe it's just the picture but it looks like that housing is scratched up pretty bad possibly cracked.
Check your oil level if your leaving a puddle of oil.
