This is a DIY aimed at the lower trim level guys who don't have the option of adding the LER sales code for the OEM folding. I did mine on a set of 1A Auto tow mirrors so the codes I had my dealer flash were LEG, LEC, and LEB. This makes the turn signals, puddle lamps, and mirror buttons work correctly when the mirror is flipped up in tow mode.
First, I gained access to each mirrors fold wiring (blue and yellow wires in the black connector) by removing the door panels.

In order to run my wiring to the mirrors, I needed to gain access to the cab pass through harness. This is held to the door by 2 T20 torx screws and a plastic connector holder thingy(not sure what it's called) on the body of the truck.

Now on the drivers side there are two connectors installed in the plastic retainer where as on the passenger side there is only one. I slid the wiring through one of the holes between the 2 connectors on the drivers side and then in the huge empty slot on the passenger side

Now for my install I am using the factory sliding rear window switch in the overhead to operate my mirrors since I do not have a sliding rear window. You can alternatively just use a DPDT switch instead.
With that in mind I proceeded to route my wiring up the A pillar to the overhead

After that I routed my ground wire underneath the steering column to the factory ground point.

Next up, power. I ran my fused link wire to the accessory post under the hood by drilling a small hole through the firewall grommet

Next I wired up my over head switch with QD terminals and one T-tap(this was used for the switch illumination by tapping into the console light that comes on when the lights are on) black wire is ground, pink/or is power, brown is illumination, and the remaining two brown/striped wires are for the motor - and + signals(the yellow and blue wires you tapped at the mirror plugs)

Once everything was connected I did 2 fold cycle and patted myself on the back. Lol. Hope this helps and inspires others to tackle this project. I used trailer wire as it comes bonded and is easier to run in a pair instead of individual wires.
