Hi guys,
I am having similar issues to many of you post AEM (I have the jeep) and I'm trying to gather info.
I have not had my vehicle since June 13th, (still dont have it)
I got a code that day for P2459 (excessive regen), AEM done the 8th.
Dealer replaced DPF which didnt fix issue.
At day 23 of diagnosing, the dealer, with FCA Star case stated that the issue is fuel contamination by rust.
My insurance tested the fuel and found no contamination.
Dealer/FCA wont change there diagnosis with fuel contamination.
I do have pictures of rust in the fuel tank from the dealer.
As you can see, this is very fishy so I am looking for information.
I'm trying to find anything I can on this issue and see if anyone else had the same code after AEM that wont clear after dealer visits.
Does anyone know if rust can somehow get past the fuel filter and cause no issues other than excessive regeneration? Any experienced diesel mechanics?
Thanks,
