These dealers are insane. That's most likely a nuisance code as a result of the regen performed as part of the AEM. I bet clearing the code is all that was necessary unless there's more to the story that we don't know about. . BTW Welcome to the forum.

I have the P2459 code and no AEM. Is there anything I need to do? How do I reset? I've read to disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 minutes to reset. Is this correct?

It will likely clear itself if it's a nuisance code. It usually needs to be cleared or may clear itself after a number of key cycles.

Well, its been about 5 days and 10-12 starts. The CEL (P2459 code and no AEM) is still on. I disconnected the negative battery cable for an hour and reconnected and still have the CEL. Also, I did not lose my radio presets. Do I need to disconnect for a longer period of time? What about disconnecting both battery cables??

Does a dealer need to reset? I don't have a code reader.

Maybe you can get the code cleared at an auto parts store.
