Own 2016 Laramie 4x2, ordered and took delivery Nov. 2015. odometer is spinning at 65K, every 10K oil change, she's averaging 25.8 mpg... def is at a gal. per 1000 miles or there about… Occasionally pull a 14,600 gvwr trailer with a 62 Ford Thunderbird Landau which weighs in at 5700 lbs, for a total of 8200 lbs...she pulls and brakes with zero issues.... the best fuel economy has been 33 mpg... over a routine 280 mile trip back and forth to central Kansas, depending on humidity, wind speed, which can be horrid, I average mid 27 mpg... with the trailer, I installed air lift air bags in the rear springs, the airbags also enhances braking and road handling either way, loaded or unloaded... as for ride, she's better than an ole B-Body Cadi or Lincoln... only issue, twice, had to reload the PCM, and the rear back up camera will occasionally go crazy and draw a blank green screen... I used to use, 5-20 Kendall from Petroleum Service Company out of PA. it ran about $5.45 a qt. and now use Rotella T-6 5-40 syn. and give about $20 a gallon for it from a farm and ranch store... compared to a gas rig, it runs 30% more efficiently... insurance costs and total acquisition costs is my only complaints... trucks are now too high... never thought that I would see the day when the MSRP would bust $50 or $60 K.... otherwise, I love my ride, it does not beat you to death...

I had my 2014 for 60000 miles or 100000kms, my 2016 for about 70000 miles or 115000kms and now my 2018 for 1500 miles or 2500kms. Besides a tensioner on the accesory belt coming loose early in my 2014 ownership all have been very good. Mileage has been very consistent at 23 mpg average or 10l/100km on all 3.

50000 klms on my 2014 GDE tuned, lots of them towing my trailer 9,999 gvw never missed a beat, the only issue was water in one of the fog lights.

In the process of making a deal on a diesel pusher so the truck maybe history, unless we decide to flat tow it behind !!

Welcome.

well lets see. I put about 5500 miles with absolutely no problems. Had to have the transmission replaced at about 5,600 miles.
Welcome. A little info about your truck would be good.

2016 Lonestar 4X4 All Stock 48,000 miles. Only issue was an DEF tank pump that may or may not have been bad and my dealer replaced the whole tank and pump instead of trying to repair it. Work was done in 2 days. I have had no power train issues at all. I commute 88 miles a day on the highway and do very little city driving. I tow 50-60 miles about twice a month during the summer months just over 3,000 pounds. Shell Rotella T-6 since second oil change at roughly 16,000 miles.

Just shy of 49K, no issues. Did the SCR recall in 2015. There have been a few other recalls, but no issues either before or after. As another person mentioned, tire dealers can't balance the wheels properly. I think it's the 20 inch wheels they can't handle. I had to take mine to the dealer to get them right.

Mine was trouble free engine-wise for 82000 km. No Regen messages or CEL not a thing. Then the DEF system failed ,(pump and nozzle) but I would not described that as a major problem as the post is titled. Pain in the ass yes, but not major engine damage or anything. Oh yes replaced a wheel bearing front end as well, but I consider that a wear and tear item.

Mine was 46k miles trouble free until yesterday. It went on a flat bed to an unknown dealer about 100 miles from home. Its been running a bit rough on cold start for about a month. Goes away in about 2 miles. Thursday had an oil change and fuel filter from local dealer. Noticed cooling fan came on in driveway. Yesterday fan was on a lot and I knew we were in trouble. No CEL. Just the temp gauge redlined. I let it idle for an hour waiting for the tow hoping it would blow but it didn't. Temps held at 228 at idle and fan screaming. Any thing in drive even crawling and above 240 and climbing. We did smell antifreeze and low in the degas bottle but pink.

So we will see. EGR? Wrong oil? Head gasket?

57,000 miles on a 14 with no issues. Mine is still stock as the day it drove off the lot. I probably have 20,000 road trip miles on it. My truck had 678 miles on it when i went on a 2700 mile road trip. I think that trip helped the truck settle and break in properly.
