Exactly 22 MPG

Been curious what I might get for fuel mileage if I went anywhere without towing. 291 miles of running north on Interstate 75 to a motorcycle race north of Ocala Florida, then back home south of Tampa. There were a few miles off the interstate before and after but mostly around 75-80 mph just keeping up with traffic.

Made it a point to check yesterday so went to a local station, filled to shut-off, waited and added to shut-off again. Calculated 22.0 mpg.

Thought it would be higher. The lie-o-meter said 23.5. I have seen it above 25 mpg at times but overall calculated never that high as I do not fuel often with the extra tank and frequent towing and/or running errands.

That's it. Surely not Ecodiesel mileage but pretty decent for such a heavy and large 4x4 pickup.

Now, wonder what that will be like when/if I tune my Cummins?
If your thinking to do a delete tune, I would say its not worth it with the '13+ trucks. '07.5-'12 however, absolutely.

My son has a 14. He did a full delete. Loves it. Just passed 200k and running great with better fuel mileage also.
