just tried to call settlement hot line & all you get is a computer question routine & know matter how I answer, the results are to go to eco diesel settlement .com & select track claim.
I have went to that website many times & same results, an hourglass with note that documents have been received.
does anyone know how to speak to a claims person? if so I would sure like to know how.
.
I've had luck with when asked if I applied via 'mail' or 'website' to respond 'mail', as I recall indicating 'website' always just gives some more useless info then hangs up. On the 'mail' track it will indicate you can hold for next available human.
I had all my materials submitted and update done by early June. I'm second owner and requested 1 check. I called mid August since website didn't indicate they'd received my notarized and AEM V08 hadn't been done. They reviewed and confirmed they'd received everything and V08 was done. Website at that point changed to indicate they'd "mail the check within six weeks" and the hourglass next to check mailed. I called again in mid Oct and was told they'd delayed sending checks until end of Oct to give 1st owners more time. I did the website chat mid Nov and the rep indicated it should another week or two. I chatted again yesterday, 3 DEC, and got a "just keep checking the website sorry". After that I did the phone call again, that lady indicated there was another delay until end of NOV. They also had no contact info for the 'check' writing dept, but did offer to transfer me to FCA Customer Care. That lady took down my info about it being 3.5 months since they website indicated "6 weeks" and found I had a case worker assigned who was not available, so she left a message for her. About 20 minutes later I got an email from stating the following
"Good Afternoon Mr. Tucker, So it look like upon your offer letter being returned full payment was selected. Now I understand the deadline was August 1st but a lot of former owners mailed in their claim. The mail depart was and still is behind on getting the mail scanned in which is what is cause the delay. So with them falling behind it has cause FCA to move the deadline back to Nov 30th. With the deadline just ending there hasn't been any updates as of yet. I would recommend reaching out possibly at the end of the week and or Monday and more information should be able to be provided."
Note I've been courteous with everyone since the folks handling the phones/chats aren't likely the bad actors here.
Since doing the V08 update in JUL I've experienced no drop in MPG - around 22-23 avg, but do have the acceleration lag. I also had the EGRcooler fail in early OCT apparently leaking into the exhaust requiring I add about 1 gallon of fluid every 300 miles during a 2400 mile trip. Took 2 weeks for local dealer to find a replacement part at that time (prior to official recall). Since then I have seen check engine light twice. Local Orielly's Bosch OBD showed code P225D, which googling seems to be related to Particulate Filter. Not clear if that's a side effect of V08 recall or is real and due to EGRcooler dumping into exhaust system fouling up sensor/filters.
