Old news, and HD platform. My dad's got welded for the recall. STUPID. Now there is no more adjustment. Screw getting alignments, I guess.
Probably a result of inconsistent quality in dealer services not properly tightening it down, and FCA overreacted and said "screw it let's just weld them all instead of training our techs properly how to tighten a damn jam nut"

I keep an eye on mine, which is still tight. I am not going to have it welded, that's not a solution, its a bandaid.

Old news from the beginning of the year but still a valuable reminder. Some may have ignored it. Yes, the welding pattern is one that was talked about with much disgust.

My 2004 Cummins 2500 had itss' steering box fail along with most all of the tie rod ends. There has been a pattern of issues with Ram front ends way back in the earlier Dodge days.
