I made a quick video "tour" of my Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

I know a good number of the members on here have already purchased, but in case there is someone like me who browsed on here for a month or more before buying, I made a quick video of my truck for ya'll.

It includes the sights & sounds of it running from outside, engine bay tour, video of the air suspension in progress (sped up for time), and a quick tour from the driver's seat.

Check it out:

Diesel porn! You should be banned!

...clearly a low budget production. I mean, you wouldn't even pay for voice talent!

Burning question...

Did you hit the object while backing up? Video ends before we get resolution on that point. Lots of beeping, lots of solid sound screaming to stop...then we see the bushes...then you flip back to the dash and things end! Did you hit the bush???!!!

In the end I'm left with only these words to summarize:

Great work - thanks for sharing. :)

That's a great video and a good start. To really appreciate this truck you have to drive it, get a feel of its power, hear how quiet it is inside the cabin and outside. It's the best truck on the road with the best engine and crazy good mileage.

lol, no - I didn't hit the tall grass. However, I may have backed up close enough that the wind blew it into my truck - not sure - that'd have been splitting hairs....or grass blades.

You don't want my voice talent... I promise. "Duh, howdidily hey there ya'll, here's my Dodge Ram"

I don't disagree. The truck is running when I'm flipping through the menus - and you can't tell. I rev'ed it up a little bit, and did that quick launch down the road to hear the tone - but video/audio from a camera doesn't do it justice for the interior quietness - you're right. I just hope that this video will help the folks who are on the fence on checking one out!

Funny story about the dial shifter - a co-worker of mine just got a new RAM 1500 with the Hemi. He was out in it with his girlfriend the night he got it and they were driving with the radio on. She reached over and turned what she thought was the volume knob to turn the radio up. Bryan (co-worker) said he almost crapped himself and was waiting to hear the tranny blow up or something. He said the truck just started beeping like crazy with some warning lights and he quickly shifted it back to drive. It's all electronic so nothing happened, but that would have shocked me too. So let your passengers know to keep their hands off that thing.

I never knew you could turn the dial while on the highway. It's something I'm just a tad bit too nervous to test myself.....

I'd rather not risk looking in the mirror and seeing the insides of my transmission scattered down the highway. lol

Added a quick video showing the dial shifter, since one of the other forum's replys was "Dial shifter? You actually like that?!" - yeah...no big deal really.

I kind of like the rotary shifter - saves a ton of space & working parts! The only issue I've noticed & I think it's just me, is doing a 3-point turn going from reverse to forward & going thru a carwash in N & trying to shift to D (must press brake) without getting caught by the stupid carwash track that is pushing the truck.

I do agree - I'm glad it's not in the center console. It frees up a lot of space for the center console for sure!

Nice video, thanks!
Thanks!

Here's one more!

The video of the rotary nob make me smile, when you are starting the vehicle. I see so many people with push button start hold the button down until the engine fires versus just pressing it once and letting the electronics take over. :D
