2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel
I have exhaust filter 100% see dealer - limp mode message.

I am trying to use alfa obd stationary Regen tool, and I can get the Regen to start with the following process:

MAR
clear faults
Start DPF Regeneration Enabling
Turn off vehicle and open door
Wait for all lights to turn off
Start vehicle
Connect alfa again
Start Particulate Filter Regeneration
RPMs climb to 2500, but error codes return and the process quits on its own after about two minutes. I can smell the smell of regen, though.

Any tips would be appreciated.

What codes are you getting they need fixed first

I'm getting:
P2463
P2002

Seemed like the first was caused by the soot accumulation and the second says it doesn't request the warning lamp

The P2002 means its sensing pm or soot getting past the dpf aseembly. You could try pulling the dpf and inspecting but it might be time to replace it. Is the insides of your tailpipes black?

They're black.

I want to get a stage 2 tune and delete so do I bother/care?

If you want to go stage 2 then no need to replace the dpf. But make sure whatever tuner you go with knows about the issue so they can address it.
