My truck was recently in the shop in Reno NV for a replacement transmission. Service tech noticed the truck was leaning to the drivers side and checked it out. I had noticed this when the truck was under warranty and the dealer stated that it was within spec. Now the Reno tech told me it was because the plastic spacer at the top of the Coil spring tower is falling apart. I can't seem to find the part number for this spacer. Any one come across this issue yet?

I’m pretty sure the stock struts don’t come with spacers on 1500s.

According to the parts breakdown for the 4x2 1500, there is a puck that sits on top of the coil spring on the upper side. It's an isolator to keep the metal from rubbing together. It's a mute point now anyway since I traded for the new Silverado 1500 Duramax.

My mistake. But now that the point can no longer speak I suppose it’s moot.
