This is my first post and I'm happy to be a part of this community!

My Question:
Do I remove the plastic screen from the fuel filter, or is this a new design? (see photos)

My Recommendation:
I paid a little more for an American product and was really impressed. I got this MotivX wrench from Amazon and it looks awesome. It was packaged like an iphone! I assume some of you use a strap or oil filter wrench, channel locks, or even just your hands, but I think I'll be happiest using this. (see photos)

Do not remove the screen, filter is correct as is. I have yet to use any tools other than my hands and a gallon bag to change the fuel filter, all the fancy tools are definitely not needed.

Welcome, I have a filter wrench, but I don't think it's as nice as the one you have, and the "bag trick" works like a charm

I plan to change the filter tomorrow, so we'll see if my fancy wrench was necessary (you may be crazy strong!).

Yeah, I heard about the bag trick and apparently, a plastic 2-liter soda bottle also works (with bottom cut out).

I use a metal oil filter strap wrench and a 1 gallon freezer bag. 4 changes no issues.
