By the way, the letter does not say you won't be able to register, it says you "may" not be able to register or sell. It states it may be one of CARB's remedial actions.

Your probably right about it being a California thing, but there may be other states as well in the future.
Here in Colorado a few months before last years election, our term limited governor, did an executive order that effectively placed all auto emissions in Colorado on CARB standards. He stated that California was leading the way for emissions and that Colorado will do whatever California does. I understand that there's other states that have done similar things.
I have no idea how this would affect the current GDE owners in Colorado at this time, but it is something to keep in mind.
I recall this was discussed during the EPA search. Some said the gubberment didn't care about the little guy and GDE wouldn't provide customer info. I guess the big guy with the long reach always wins.

With all the recalls on the weaknesses and flaws of the Ecodiesel, should the Reluctor Wheel be next? They seem to fail as often as any of the other bad designs.
I have done a lot of reading in the past months trying to determine why I was losing coolant.
To start, when the truck was new (first 3 months) I did notice a coolant leak and could smell coolant. The Water Pump was replaced and the coolant smell went away.
I kept seeing the coolant drop...
Hello Folks,
I need your help identifying the problems I have encountered yesterday and how to fix them. Let me give you the context.
The truck is a 2015 Big Horn, 2 wheel drive. It has about 170K miles. All recalls and services were performed on schedule, no issues. While driving...
621,369 miles. Defective design programming? This is true for the 4th gen 1500 not the HDs. Seems FCA wants to SELL you a new cluster and give you a sticker for your door jam. Cost parts n labor $1,100 plus.
I see it as a defect of sorts or bad programming decision. That is, my thoughts is...
