Hi: All HD owners... Should you pull your tranny dip stick or not? The HD recall is in motion but Stella Antics doesn't know the way to go!!!

They had a similar recall a few years ago, I think for 2019 trucks? IIRC @Captainmal mentioned it

I think this only affects trucks equipped with the 68RFE transmission, so 3500's with the Aisin shouldn't be included.

Strange this was not addressed when the CP3 change was done.

Two other recalls were done at that time. Good to know. Will look for transmission temperature when towing. Thanks.

What good is a 2500 or 3500 if you need to follow the recommendations of the recall?

Just towed 400 miles. Transmission temperatures most always 167*. That is far from the "magical" 210 overheating.

Of all the temperatures visible, the transmission has the lowest.
