Thanks. Been waiting to read that he got started.

Read up to page 12. Mixed feelings but curious about the future. His fuel mileage with a trailer of little wind resistance is not as good as I hoped for. My take there is he's a bit of a leadfoot or leadhead. You see that huge cliff he jumped off of?

Here at the Skyway Bridge across Tampa Bay we call that suicide.

He is cruising around the Rocky and Cascade mountains so I would expect his mileage to be somewhat low, especially with high winds and a new vehicle. Not your typical Florida topography.

The topography where he was driving is very steep, narrow (in places) and twisty. I don't think it flattens out much until he hits central Alberta. Hopefully he will post his total averages, that way we will have a bigger picture. I do like that he is reporting no issues with lack of power climbing some of those passes.
