Hey everybody,
Going to be switching from a mustang back to Ram for my 3rd one since 2010. Right now I'm undecided between the Hemi and the eco-diesel for it though. I currently drive 80 miles a day round trip for my commute to work which has me leaning towards the fuel economy of the ED(27-29 mpg) vs the Hemi(20-22), but I've heard diesel upkeep can be very expensive compared to their gas counterparts.
Being that I drive at least 2,000 miles a month just for work I like the 10k mile oil change intervals of the ED vs the 8k of the hemi, since my mustang has the 10k intervals. But I can get the hemi oil change for $15 through work and I believe the ED is at least $80, which is a huge price difference. Are there any other high cost maintenance items on the ED that I need to know about vs the Hemi since I will be going through 2-3 services a year at least?
