If I'm going to replace my radiator what else should I replace at the same time?

Thermostat, Belts, Hoses and anything else you see while you're in there..

Hi: gregshin... Wow... I've never replaced a "Rad" but I have done a heater core!!! When you can taste anti freeze while driving it's time.

Is the radiator leaking?

Replace the thermostat while you have the system drained.

Why replace the radiator? If its not leaking its a waste of time and money.

Not sure about anywhere else but in Arizona the "Plastic" tanks on the radiators are only good for about 10 years. "Average" Of course some more and some less. If you do a lot of long distance driving it just might be good preventive maintenance. Plus if you do the work yourself they aren't that much $$. Plus its probably due for a coolant flush anyway...

Most coolant system issues arise due to people not replacing coolant, once coolant looses it's chemical properties it becomes acidic and attacks rubber and plastic parts making them brittle from inside out,, but what do we know? Ram says everything is lifetime. And people actually believe it. 😭

Hi: r3gill... What Ram doesn't say is "Whose lifetime"?

I'm doing this soon, and have all the parts. Upgraded all-aluminum radiator from Ebay, new coolant overflow bottle, upper and lower coolant hoses, and serpentine belt.
