Hi: gregshin... Wow... I've never replaced a "Rad" but I have done a heater core!!! When you can taste anti freeze while driving it's time.Truck is a 2015 with almost 150,000 miles...i think its time to replace the radiator so i can keep driving it.
What else should i change out? the cooling fan or its called a clutch fan?
Is the radiator leaking?Truck is a 2015 with almost 150,000 miles...i think its time to replace the radiator so i can keep driving it.
Not sure about anywhere else but in Arizona the "Plastic" tanks on the radiators are only good for about 10 years. "Average" Of course some more and some less. If you do a lot of long distance driving it just might be good preventive maintenance. Plus if you do the work yourself they aren't that much $$. Plus its probably due for a coolant flush anyway...Why replace the radiator? If its not leaking its a waste of time and money.
Hi: r3gill... What Ram doesn't say is "Whose lifetime"?Most coolant system issues arise due to people not replacing coolant, once coolant looses it's chemical properties it becomes acidic and attacks rubber and plastic parts making them brittle from inside out,, but what do we know? Ram says everything is lifetime. And people actually believe it. 😭
