Welcome to the forum - First post.

Open the hood and take a look at that visible coolant bottle. It should be some shade or red or maybe purple with no sign of anything but coolant. WATCH that for a while. That burning smell has a cause and that should be found.

The EGR recall is universal. Only problem is that since November and the recall start, parts are still not available. Ask a local dealer if they have those parts. The other two things are mostly a bunch of nothing. That programming issue may not really do much but relates to tuning. What you also need to do related to that is read on this forum and figure out if some available program tuning that either turns off the EGR or modifies it, fits your needs. Those running hundreds of thousands of miles on these engines most all have some form of tuning modification to deal with the EGR.

You are learning a lot in a short time. Let some of the knowledge settle in.

As for the transmission video - Don't fix what "ain't" broke. The transmission is a tough bugger.

Always used tow haul when towing. Turned it off a few times and never saw a transmission temperature change. It just seems to alter the shift programming.

Of course my numbers were so high it was hard to comprehend. Kind of like the national debt.
