I recently bought the 2.5 gallon jug off Amazon for $54 as well. Then, when I was in Walmart I saw that they had the 2.5 gallon for the same price. Funny, now Amazon lists the 2.5 gal for $81, not two weeks later!

Its a great price, you just have to be willing to go into Walmart and deal with some of the miserable people that work/shop there and your golden.

Fortunately, at my local Walmart, the auto dept has a true separate entrance and check out that requires you to only go about 75 ft into the store to get to the Rotella T6. Just this morning I bought the standard 2.5 gallon (10 qt) jug for $53.97 and then an extra quart for $6.97. Took 3 mins total time in store. I love being able to do that ONE long 2.5 gallon pour to refill the oil...and then maybe another 8-16 ounces from the 1 quart bottle to bring it to the MAX line. I'm very happy with this oil spec change...

Also, did the submission online for my $5/gallon rebate (good through Dec 31st) at the Shell Rotella site.

FOLLOWUP - I already received the $12.50 rebate check from Shell (arrived in the mail Nov 18) so they process quickly (two weeks from submission of the rebate online to check in hand). Brought the pre-tax cost for the 2.5 gal jug to $41.47...Not bad as $4.15 per quart for full syn oil of any type is a deal...Super easy rebate process...
