Can anyone confirm that this app and the obd reader will work on 2018 trucks? Will I need one of those patches that gets through FCAs anti tamper firewall?

I purchased a VGATE and I am trying to use the Torque Pro app on my Galaxy. I am unable to get any gauges to register. Where would you start?

Is Galaxy paired to the VGATE? Torque should automatically connect to the VGATE. There is a setting in Torque to make that OBD dongle the default. Another thing is check in the vehicle profile that the comm is set for: ISO 15765-4 (CAN 11bit/500k baud)

Got it. Thanks. I have it reading all the basic gauges. I am not seeing the options for Boost, DPF Capacity, Regen Time, Regen Distance. Any other gauges people recommend?

Probably the ones to watch is the EGT1B1, EGTB1S3 and Boost gauges while towing. I also have the CAC temp, Fuel Rail Pressure, and DPF soot %
Some of those gauges are custom PIDs which can be found earlier in this thread.
If you like to know when you truck is in an active Regen, the EGTB1S3 will be at or above 1000°F

" regen dstance " worked until late 2015 ,
then after some new software flash from RAM, it stopped working on all the monitors I know of ,
so don't spend the whole day researching that particular PID .
I don't use Torque but I like the images of possible configuration "" themes "" others posted .
Edit : seems a bunch of you guys got it working on Torque Pro app " Attaboy " .

I found a Regen Distance that seems to be working on my truck. At least it is giving a reading. Look forward to the feedback.

I've been playing with Torque Pro Ver 1.10.114 on my Android Phone with the VEEPEAK V1.5 (BLUE) OBDII USB Adapter.
I am trying to locate the latest released Documents for SAE J1979DA-201905*.xlsx (filename may have additional characters
in place of the "*". That document is the latest information according to the Internet. Or is there any other Document that can
be located for the RAM 1500 Eco-Diesel's? Anyone have access to the PDF?

I've used Torque to get the Bits from Blocks 0x00, 0x20, 0x40, 0x60,& 0x80 that show which PID's are available for access.
Blocks 0xC0, 0xE0 are not accessed for PID's.

I created a Gauge on Torque, got it working from extra PID's in Chrysler, and then exported that gauge's file to get the format for all PID's.

My exported PID's for Block 0x00 are:

to move my files to my Android Phone. That makes it easy using my WLAN to IMPORT or EXPORT the files from my computers Browser (Firefox).

Need help. I posted this same message on another thread but realized it hadn't been active since 2018. I have a 2016 3.0ED that has 2 recalls. The Diesel EGR Cooler and to have that done the dealer has to perform the EPA/CARB Emissions Mod that I've been avoiding do to all the issues with power loss and reduced MPG. I have Torque Pro and the Bafx ODB2 scanner but would like advice as to what gauges to monitor/record 30 days BEFORE I have these recalls performed and then another 30 days AFTER so I have some sort of record if there is any loss of power or mpg or any other loss performance. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm afraid I don't know enough about my Eco-Diesel 2020 with 2500 Miles to even guess what you need. I do have several Parameter ID's
PID's for the Eco-Diesel that I've gleaned from this Forum and the Jeep Forum. But, I've not experienced the gyration you have been through.

All I can offer is the method I've conjured up to query the ECU for Blocks 0x00, 0x20, 0x40, 0x60, 0x80, 0xA0, 0xC0, and 0xE0 for what
PID's are available for accessing. There is a Bit set for each PID in each Block of 32 (4 - 8 Bit Bytes) for 256 PiD's.

I'm right in the middle of creating a Document that explains in detail how to decode the bits. But, I haven't been able to find the 2019 Document
that is supposed to be the latest. That is one reason I've posted the previous posting hoping someone has access to the PDF information.

Good morning everyone,
Is there any where that there is a list of PID's to use with gauges. There are a few posts here and there with a few PID's. I have several and some work and some don't. But a list of them would be real helpful to have. Some place that we could add more to as we get them and use. I have read through every thing I can find and would like some thing easier to find.

but , all in the same thread , maybe copy info that interest you in a word pad and load the Pids you want in your Torque monitor.
some even posted links to the packages they use , just one load and you would have same set-up they have .

Does GPS/Location actually need to be on? Kills the battery leaving it on all the time.
