Howdy everyone, recently purchased a 2014 ram ecodiesel and got a p0128 cel. I noticed my coolant temp is hanging around 177 to 185. It's that normal? From my research it's on the low side. I am thinking the thermostat is stuck open and might need to be replaced. Had anyone else had this issue? TIA

Other possible causes: Bad coolant temp sensor, Cooling fan stuck on, Bad intake air temp sensor.

My coolant has been running right at 176º in this cooler weather and no issues, no CEL. My thermostat is working fine, I think the cooler coolant is due to the large external oil cooler. The coolant is no longer heat-soaked by the oil cooler.
