Just got my PG3+ for my 19 Ram Classic to delete it and all. I accidentally didn’t plug in one of the wires for my security bypass. My question is does this matter when reading the stock file?

I do know when doing the upgraded tunes, I’ll need the bypass cable installed correctly for sure.

Stupid mistake I know but to late now.

Thanks

I'm not even familiar with that, are you sure it will work with your ED?

Most people go through GDE or other companies that specialize in ED's..

I assume the OP is sending the stock fille to their tuner???

I don't know if reading the stock file requires the bypass cable, but I'm sure someone with the knowledge will chime in.

Correct. I send them the stock file and they send back the upgraded tune files.

I am going through a company that specializes in ED. They just use the Alientech software to do their tunes.

From what I’ve gathered from doing research online:

I should be fine on just reading the Stock ECU data.

If I wanted to rewrite or change that data, I would then need the bypass cable installed correctly. (Which it is now and will be when the stage 1 tunes are sent back over)

So I do believe it’s going to be fine, I emailed off the stock information that was pulled today and we shall see from there.

If anyone can correct me, that would be great.

I thought reading the file would be fine too, but didn't want to advise since I wasn't certain. Good luck and please keep us posted.
