Have anyone had this recall done? Every time I check it always says "parts not available".

As it says parts are not available and no clear date as to when they will be. It's a moving target.
Hi: lippy0521... How many pumps, can a pump maker make, if a pump maker can make pumps?

It is a big issue if it happens to you as it's about a $15000 repair......no worries if you have a warranty, but for those of us that don't, we use a lubricant in the fuel to minimize the chance of the HPFP self destructing.

This is what I use:

As a recall, isn't it covered regardless of warranty if it fails before the recall gets completed?

Short answer... it depends on the dealer...?

Check this thread out with a fellow member with this exact issue: Updates on cp4

I have a warranty on my truck, so it can go pop whenever and I don't care. Well, I do, but it's not going to cost me anything...

Hello everyone,

This part is unfortunately on backorder at the moment due to supply shortages. Our team is currently working diligently with our suppliers and supply chain on getting this issue resolved. We do not have a set date yet, but we will notify all affected customers on this recall once the repair is available for service on your vehicle. We appreciate your patience and cooperation on this matter.

Lippy...This has been going on and on for a long time. It will probably continue for a longer time. You are right. It is no big deal unless you are one of the unfortunate few that have a problem. Then it would be covered and the dealer would replace the pump with the old model and take care of all the fuel system issues that may have resulted.

Sleep tight.

If the dealer will choose to replace under warranty. Mine is one that @diesel85 was mentioning about, where dealer wanted $10k to replace even though it is under warranty. Dealer wouldn't do a thing, wouldn't even try to put in the old pump because of the recall as he said he didnt want to put in a "BAD PUMP". @RamCares gave me the same exact generic message as above when I messaged about the dealer not abiding by warranty. How can you be put on a list for backorder if the dealer won't even put it under warranty claim

Mine is on a tow truck as I type this to another dealer some 80miles away to another dealer hoping that they will be able to help out since my local dealer, Ram Care 800 number, Ram Warranty Number and @RamCares also didn't want to help! Hope everyone else has better luck than I've had if yours goes out.
